April Employment-Based Visa Bulletin Updates
This week, the Department of State (DOS) released its Visa Bulletin for April 2026.
Below is a summary of the employment-based updates, compared to the March 2026 Visa Bulletin. Essentially, we’re seeing forward movement across most categories. The standout development is the EB-2 "All Others" (Worldwide) category advancing to Current, along with Mexico and the Philippines, meaning applicants in those groups no longer face a priority date backlog and can file immediately.
Additionally, early filing (via Dates for Filing charts) remains available for employment-based I-485 applications., which allows applicants to submit adjustment of status applications before their priority date becomes current on the Final Action Dates chart giving eligible applicants even more opportunity to move forward in the process.
